DRT To The Rescue

This is an illustration for one of my stories.

The D.R.T. Rescue-Team is at the ready. "D.R.T. - Rescue" is a group of many Dragon-Pilots, they spread out and are helping in many ways. If cars crashed, or buildings catched fire, they are always there to help. Their dragons are strong enough to sweep wreckage out of the way, helping to pull vehicles if they can't be moved, etc. They also have always their bags for emergency treatment.

This is the fifth D.R.T. crew (with their dragons in the background).

From left to right, the characters are:

Erwin Grainwood, Tyler Grimson, Captain Roger Marwys, Sora Hiemith and Morton Tauner.

The story is huge, but will have a dramatically and somehow sad ending. My personal favourite of my characters in this story is "Erwin". I like him a lot (not only because he has an epic mustache), because he is always musing, reserved and has polite manners. His dragon is the smallest one of the whole group, so this dragon can live together with him in his house (which isn't too small). He is the sort of guy always trying to avoid adolescent antics and always thinking about his work as a D.R.T. Pilot. (He also wears a bedcap when he is sleeping, hehe).

Next to him, Tyler, is the very opposite - always making jokes, laughing, a somehow funny guy. Tylers habit is to banter people he likes with a slight "punch" against the upper arm. While he won't do it to his captain, Erwin mostly gets some "banter" upper-arm-punches. He hates it, but Tyler won't stop. After all, Erwin likes him a lot like a brother, but he wouldn't tell him.

Captain Roger is the oldest crew-member (and because of that the captain, as he has most expierences), he is a very sober guy but is also seeing a family in his crew-members. Tyler's behaviour forces him to be harsh sometimes, especially when Tyler is playing with his dragon above the clouds during a mission (Tyler likes to let himself fall down and being catched by the dragon near the ground). By the way - the symbol on his helmet is showing, that he is a captain of a crew).

Sora always tries to help, she always wants to improve and, some day, become a captain of her own crew.

Morton is a more lonely guy, always seeing negative things and trying to change things. Somehow, those words describe him very well.


I worked at this longer, as it is a work I really enjoyed.
