Mandrill Creaturedesign WIP

I am practising creaturedesign today. I sketched some very rough ideas on paper, thought much about the subject matter and more stuff.
Then I started to draw and paint one idea I liked most digitally. This creature is based on a mandrill.

It also could be a redesign of a Purr Linn from Turok (one of my favourite Turok enemies) the more I think of it...
But it isn't supposed to be one.

I call it "Mandrill Creature" for now, even when it doesn't look much like a mandrill anymore. It evolved during sketching and painting.

From start to this step I worked nearly 5 hours including little breaks to think about the process.

(There is a yet rough drawn metallic dragonhead-sculpture, which is concaved to become an attachment of those creature's arms. They stick one of their hands inside it to swing the spiked mace, which is attached to a chain. The chain is fixed at the mouth of the dragonhead-sculpture).
