Hello watchers, silent followers and visitors.
So we are in the middle of a week in October 2014. At the moment I am drawing a lot of penciled images, as they shall serve a purpose for colouration later on. And then the urge to do an ink image approached me, so this is what I am doing right now. The inked image might be coloured as well, but I am not sure. It will show one key theme for my story Forlorn Knights. No image that is done is random, although it might feel to others like it'd have no connection to my storyverse.
Having an own worldbuilding going on will always provide inspiring stuff for any kind of creative activity. If I could, I'd also do soundtracks for my stories.
And here is one advice I have: Don't try to limit yourself with a tool or method. Write, draw, paint, sculpt, no matter what you want as long as it serves a purpose for you. If you don't feel like drawing, try a different tool and/or method. Try inks, pencils, markers, try different approaches on methods: Lineart, rendered lineart, stylized shading, more complicated shading, painting with all sorts of traditional colours, or digital lineart, celshading, etc. up to photobashing. It doesn't matter, all that matters is that you know how the fundamentals of drawing, painting and sculpting work. (Perspective, colourtheory, anatomy, lights and shadows)
This was an advice from a colleague in the industry who basically said: Try different approaches and tools. And this advice is pure gold to me! It made all my doubts vanish. Right now I am doing an ink drawing because I need the little break from penciling, but the penciled image will be continued afterwards.
Meanwhile I have uploaded some older drawings into my gallery and I am trying to show some activity at least via short Journal posts.
I hope your week is going well so far. Take care!
Many greetings,
- Dave

Happy New Year 2018!
Hey everybody, I'm still alive. Did you have a decent holiday time? I wish everyone a Happy New Year 2018!
My inactivity here on Deviantart has multiple reasons, non of which are too concerning. Yet I am healthy, but some obstacles are in my way apart from other circumstances.
Obstacles - Almost overworked again and I had a few issues regarding concerns about the health of a family member which made it somewhat difficult to focus. But it turned all out to be fine. Still, I almost began to work too much and to not allow myself to find some rest. As I didn't want and don't want to make that mistake again, I am taking things as easy as possibl
